The synth includes two oscillators, each with its own waveform selection, oscillator sync, and sub-oscillator. Users can choose from a variety of traditional waveforms like triangle, sawtooth, and square waves or create their own custom waveforms. The Retrologue also features a noise generator for adding percussive and atmospheric effects to sounds.

Alongside the main oscillator section, the Retrologue also includes a filter section that features four different filter types: low pass, high pass, band pass, and band reject. The filter section can be modulated via envelope or LFO, allowing for dynamic filtering effects.
